专家简介:Prof. Michael Frei is currently the head of the Agronomy and Crop Physiology group of Justus-Liebig-University in Gießen (Germany). His research revolves around the adaptation of crops to changing environments for enhancing global food security.Prof. Frei obtained a PhD degree from the University of Hohenheim (Germany) and was a junior professor at the University of Bonn prior to accepting his current position. He has conducted and led research projects in Europe, Asia and Africa and so far authored more than 90 peer reviewed journal articles with a current h index of 41. His research has attracted funding from highly competitive national (DFG, Humboldt foundation etc.) and international (EU) sources. Currently he is leading the European Union funded research consortium HealthyDiets4Africa, which involves 21 partner institutions from West, Central, and East Africa, as well as the European Union.
专家简介:Prof. Onno Muller is deputy head shoot dynamics and group leader field phenotyping at the Institute of Bio- and Geosciences 2: Plant Sciences at Forschungszentrum Jülich. He is trained as plant ecophysiologist interested in how and why plants respond to their environment and applies this knowledge in different field phenotyping applications. Among others he implemented and is coordinating experiments under elevated CO2 in the field in BreedFACE, under photovoltaics in the Food and Energy Parc Alt-Morsenich as well as plant traits from UAV observations of Cassava in Taiwan Prov. and Nigeria. Hereby he focuses on quantifying photosynthesis using the active light induced fluorescence transient or passive methods. Furthermore he is PI on numerous projects in Germany and abroad.(>75 publications, h factor ≥35)
